Strangely Soothing GIFS
I’m a sucker for a good ‘how things are made’ documentary. All those Discovery Channel programmes about mega factories, mega bridges, mega constructions (there’s about a million ‘mega’ something shows) based around commodities that I’m otherwise disinterested in, like cars, are pretty much the best thing on TV as far as I’m concerned.
I’ve always been fascinated with seeing the manufacturing process. There’s something about the rhythms and patterns of a highly mechanised manufacturing process that I find really pleasing. Today, one of my favourite sites Twisted Sifter is featuring a series of GIFs that show just what I mean.
Here a just a couple (you’ll need to check out the original if you want to see sausages being made – that one’s more gruesome than fascinating!) Maybe I’m somewhere on the autism spectrum, but I really could sit and look at these all day…
