James’ La Petite Mort
In what might end up being the most artistic album release of all time, British rock band James first studio album in six years launched this week. Titled La Petite Mort, the album was written in the aftermath of lead singer Tim Booth losing both his mother and best friend in pretty quick succession and how those deaths affected his views on mortality.
BAFTA winning animator Ainslie Henderson was brought on to create a gorgeously touching music video for a track called Moving On that’s equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking (I’m avoiding ‘tugging at the heartstrings’ puns. Oh…oops) which you need to check out here:
